I’ve been a professional wildlife and landscape artist since 1985 working from my studio in northwest Pennsylvania. I made this site in 2011 to showcase my favorite paintings and to talk about art.
I’ve also been a semi-professional cartoonist. I drew comic strips for my high school and college newspapers to learn the ropes, and then drew for local newspapers for several years afterwards. My favorite strips are in the My Art section.
During those fun and creative years, I was an art workshop teacher, a magazine illustrator, a semi-pro photographer, and a writer.
I’ve been a writer longer than I’ve been an artist and was a journalist for my high school and college newspapers. I began writing fantasy fiction in high school and began self-publishing my stories in 1997. I became an Amazon author in 2013. There, I publish small-town suburban country fantasy fiction, which features a strange town I call Ridgewood. It began many years ago as Ravenwood (an honor to Edgar Allan Poe). My early Ravenwood stories are in the Books section. Many of them have a reoccurring character named Vree Erickson (sometimes spelled Erikson). My stories span nearly a lifetime of writing.
