I received notice last week from the good people at WordPress that my blog reached its 10-year mark.
Happy Anniversary, dear blog.
I recall when I began chiseling its foundation in January all those years ago, publishing my first post in February, and getting my first follower. I received many more followers in the next ten months, and I eagerly followed my followers, we commenting back and forth, and I feeling like a new tenant of part of a happy community. Sadly, I no longer hear from those bloggers. Two of the blogs from 2011 are in limbo and haven’t shown activity in several years; the rest of my followers of that year are no longer around.
All the same, it has been a fun ride and I haven’t run out of things to post! Here’s to ten more years.
Congratulations! I’ve only been at it since 2017.
Thank you. Keep blogging. I enjoy visiting your blog and learning things about my favorite music and musicians.
Thank you Steve…have a wonderful day
He’s good, isn’t he. Wealth of information. I routinely bug the crap out out of him. 😁
Congratulations!
Thank you Lola. ☺
You’re welcome Steve
Excellent. I started blogging in 2009, though my first blog is gone. I’ve had a love/hate relationship with my blog(s). I’m on a bit of a hiatus at the moment.
Congratulations.
I was a Geocities blogger for several years until they sold out to Yahoo! and the site went downhill. I wouldn’t have brought my blog here if it weren’t for my Geocities friends coming here first and recommending the place.
Geocities…wow. Now that is a name I haven’t heard in years. Yahoo! at one time was a big dog. Now, it barely functions as email & a news aggregate…nearly irrelevant.
It’s been fairly recently that WP took over Tumblr…to the dismay of many. WP changed their TOS.
You are a grand cartoonist, BTW…
Thank you. I haven’t composed any new comic strips lately, but I’m aiming to do more as soon as I finish rewriting my novel. I’m aiming for a July publishing date on the book.
Writing a novel…you have more patience than I. Fictional, a personal story or something historical?
It’s fiction, a story I started for my daughters and never finished.
