Hello readers and followers of my blog. Some quick news for you:
I spent today changing the look and feel of my blog. Life is all about changes. I try to keep from getting stale, though I do have clothes that are out of fashion.
Changes to this blog/website include a new Books page. There you can read my creations by clicking links instead of stumbling with the WordPress search box. Topping the list is Night of the Hellhounds, the mini e-novel I wrote 2013. Visit my Books page for more selections.
I plan to offer free books at that page, too. Right now, you can read two versions of Kismet there. Files are downloadable PDFs.
Let me know what you think of the new look. And if you have any suggestions to make this site better, please leave comments.
It looks good, maybe a very faint colour to the background
Thanks for the suggestion Harry. I’ll play around and see what happens.
Two of my blogs have a coloured background the other is white, see how it looks.
I like it, sir. Minimalist, but in the best sense of the word. Very handy having that convenient menu at the top. Ease of navigation is such an integral part of good web design– a pity it’s so often ignored! Nice work, wishing you much success in the new year! 🙂
I had a graphic design teacher at college who repeatedly said “Less is more” while she tried to make us students realize that if design can function at its minimum, do it. Though many WordPress themes seem to promote a cluttered look, I spend a lot of time looking at the few that allow me to use white space to an aesthetic advantage. Sadly, even these are limited unless one buys the upgrade that allows changes to the CSS. Maybe when I become a renown artist/author I’ll consider it. Until then, I’ll plug away with what WordPress offers for free and suffer its limitations.
Thanks for the well-wishes, Mark; I wish the same to you. I enjoy your whimsical illustrations and look for new ones every time I visit WordPress. After all, laughter is our best medicine.
