While I have been busy working on my latest book project, I come up for air every few days to post here and at Facebook. Today I posted two events from my past. The first is from 1974; the second is from 1984.
It is fun, interesting, and painful to look at works from the past. But it also reminds me of the hard work I have done to get this far.
Whoa!! A spectral orange hand clutching a mysterious green fruit which is being… skewered!! That is definitely a “mind adventure” for any fan of fine art!! I really like it, and I think your mom had excellent taste. That’s mighty fine work for a 17-year-old, and no mistake.
And you were a student at that famous art correspondence school, and got to interact with Charles Schultz, no less. What a fascinating journey you’ve had, Steven. Thanks for sharing that– very, very cool. Got a kick out of the strip. I like how you turned the car guy around in Panel #2, so we see him as Mr. BBQ would see him– don’t think I’ve ever seen that in a strip before. Great post, thanks!
